Overview
All requests to MessageGears require you to authenticate with your Account ID and API Key. Think of your Account ID as your username, and your API Key as your password for MessageGears.
Your Account ID is a 8 character string which identifies your account when making requests to the MessageGears API.
Your API Key is a 32 character string that is your password for the MessageGears API. You should always keep your API Key private.
There are two ways to access these credentials - in an Aggregate list or Individually.
Aggregate List
User Profile icon in the top right corner, and selecting SMTP & API Credentials from the drop-down.
This will provide you with a complete list of all of the API credentials for all accounts (sub-accounts) within your overall MessageGears customer account.
Individual Account Credentials
To access individual account's API keys, first click Account in the top navigation of Portal.
From the Account page, locate the Accounts grid and click the Id of the account you want to get credentials for. If you have many accounts, you may need to use the search box, which will populate results as you type.
On the individual account's page, the API key is available in the Account Settings box. Click the (show) link to display the key.
From the Account Settings > Edit page you can also view the API Key, and reset it if the credential is compromised.
